Bermad C10/C30 valves reach the highest quality standards
The new standard—generated by WS022 committee with Australian standards—is certified in line with some extremely challenging requirements for hydro testing, endurance testing, and UV exposure.
We’re proud to announce that Bermad is the first and only manufacturer to obtain AS4956-2017, AS4020 and WSAA for non-metallic air valves in both C10 and C30 models.
Understanding the standard
The new standard—generated by WS022 committee with Australian standards—is certified in line with some extremely challenging requirements, including:
- Hydro-testing valves to 2.5 times PN at an increased temperature from 23 to 60 degrees Celsius
- Endurance testing to 1.5 times PN at an increased temperature from 23 to 60 degrees Celsius, 2500 cycles (which is 100 times more than metal valves)
- Extensive UV exposure testing to simulate valves being exposed to Australian sunlight conditions without deformation.
In summary, these strict requirements ensure that both the C10 and C30 air valves are an extremely safe product with fully accredited certification, offering long-term performance in potable water supply.
